Adult & Teen Services

At LaSalle Public Library, our Adult and Young Adult/Teen Collections are located on the 2nd floor. Collections include: Fiction, Nonfiction, Large Print, Audiobooks, Graphic Novels, DVDs, Wi-Fi Hotspots, Biography, Reference, and Local History. Additional services located on the 2nd floor include: Computers, Study Room, Copy/Print/Fax/Scan. The Main Circulation Desk on the 2nd floor handles check-ins & check-outs, new library cards & card renewals, fine payments, hold pickups, reference questions, and phone inquiries.

Computers

The Library has computers available for public use located on the 2nd floor. Patrons will need either a library card or photo ID for access. For assistance, please see the Main Circulation Desk. 

Black & White printing is $0.25 per page.

Color printing is $0.50 per page.

Wireless Access

The library has wireless internet access for your personal electronics.

Copying/Faxing/Scanning 

Copies:

Black & White copies are $0.25 per page.

Color copies are $0.50 per page.

Please ask for assistance with making copies at the circulation desk.

Faxing:

The charge for sending a fax is $2.00 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page. If the fax number is toll free, the charge is $1.00 for the first page and $0.50 for each additional page. Cover sheets are available at the circulation desk, if needed. There is a 15 page limit per fax.

Scanning:

There is no charge to scan documents or photos. Images can be saved onto a USB/flash/thumb drive or sent by email in PDF or JPG format. Please see a staff member for assistance.

Public Meeting Spaces

The Library offers two public meeting spaces free of charge. To reserve either the meeting room or study room, please call the Library at (815)223-2341.

Meeting Room: Located on the 1st floor, this room seats approximately 60 adults, theater-style, or 120 children on the floor. Groups wishing to reserve the meeting room must meet the guidelines outlined in our Meeting Room Policy.

Study Room: Perfect for tutoring and/or homework, or if you need a quiet place to work, this closed study area is located on the 2nd floor and has space to accommodate approximately 6 adults.

Explore More Illinois

Explore More Illinois is a cultural pass program that allows any Illinois public library cardholders access to discounts and/or free passes at museums, park districts, historical societies, zoos, art centers, recreational facilities, and other attractions across the state. Please visit the Explore More Illinois FAQ for more information.

Hotspot Lending

The library offers portable wireless hotspots that can be checked out by LaSalle Library patrons only. They can be checked out by patrons age 18+ with an established borrowing record and. The lending period is for one week and cannot be renewed or reserved. Please see our Wi-Fi Hotspot Lending Policy for more information.
